The Civic Museum, in the heart of the historic center of Gallipoli, is the space chosen to host the contemporary art, expressed, in this case, with the works of Luigi Manca who report on the paper and with the paper, his long experience of over 35 years of creative. Feelings, emotions, images and above all atmosphere, take shape.
"Silent artist” after exhibiting in Berlin, London, Paris, in various photographic collectives, in 2008 he returned to his homeland where he finished off his artistic maturity. So, from photography to paper, so thin and colored to look like fine cloth. After the success of public obtained in recent exposure – “On Instinct” deCarta " in the Vernazza Palace of Lecce,(the oldest and most beautiful building in town) Luigi Manca, exposes his new production with surreal atmospheres linked to seascapes.
The paper is the predominant element, the only element where he blend historical research, creativity and painting technique. More than 20 works in this exhibition with small (50x50) and very large sizes (150x180) made only with paper, where behind a particular lies a little puzzle to be deciphered. The work of his hands complete the original technique and every time is different. His works all of paper, all kinds of papers, they make alive the silent spaces of the prestigious wunderkammern and his works begin to tell, to move, to live and let you dream.
